Our history

1818

The Wicks family began making horse-drawn carts and vehicle bodywork in Middleton. One of the family's proudest moments was building a horse-drawn cart for the King of England.

Mid-20th century

Wicks became a franchise dealer for Renault, Fiat & Lancia, operating 3 sites in Wisbech.

1981

Michael Wicks bought the site on Elm High Road, Wisbech, opening a bodywork and mechanical repair garage.

1990

Michael's son Justin joined the business. Together they purchased the neighbouring coal yard to expand the workshop.

1997

Michael's youngest son Ben joined the team.

Early 2000s

Car sales were introduced at the garage.

Today

Still family-run, still in Wisbech. Justin and Ben manage the garage alongside a loyal team including Penny and Amey.
